Friendly: Chukwueze shines as Leiria gears up for Portugal showdown

Samuel Chukwueze has joined the Super Eagles’ training camp in Lisbon ahead of the international friendly against Portugal, DAILY POST reports.

His arrival brings the squad to 22 players.

The 27‑year‑old had been absent from recent matches, including the Unity Cup and the friendly against Poland, after the death and burial of his mother.

Chukwueze is expected to participate in the team’s training session later tonight.

The Super Eagles travelled to Leiria for the friendly on Thursday night.

Éric Chelle’s side will face Portugal at the Estádio Municipal de Leiria next Wednesday.
