Former Ondo Governor Mimiko Officially Joins APC in 2027

Former governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Mimiko, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He announced the move on Thursday at the APC Secretariat in Ondo City, where state chairman Kolawole Babatunde welcomed him in the presence of party leaders and supporters.

According to DAILY POST, Mimiko is the first governor in Ondo State’s history to serve two terms.

The move follows the earlier departure of many of his supporters to the APC in 2025, which many observers view as paving the way for his eventual alignment with the ruling party.
