Dr Yusuf Bello Danbatta, the former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) deputy governorship candidate for Kano State, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Danbatta made the announcement in a statement released to journalists in Kano on Friday.

He explained, “I hereby formally announce my decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). This decision was taken after careful consideration and wide consultations with my leaders, political associates, supporters, and stakeholders.”

He cited Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s leadership and the state government’s development agenda as a particular source of inspiration.

“I am convinced that the APC provides a more suitable platform for me to contribute effectively to the advancement of our people and the development of our state and the nation at large,” he added.

The former PDP chieftain also praised what he described as the APC’s inclusive approach and its commitment to improving citizens’ welfare.

He pledged to continue working for unity, peace, and sustainable development.
