Former Benue Speaker Dajoh Leaves APC

Former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon Hyacinth Dajoh, has officially joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after leaving the All Progressives Congress (APC).

A press statement released by his media aide, Agber Kulugh, confirmed the defection in Makurdi, where Dajoh was welcomed into the PDP by former Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.

The statement said that Dajoh’s exit from the APC followed prolonged internal disagreements and unsuccessful attempts at reconciliation within the party.

Dajoh also took part in the PDP Benue North‑West Senatorial Primary Election held in Makurdi, where Eunice Ortom was confirmed as the party’s senatorial candidate.

He reiterated his commitment to inclusive governance, unity, and community development, stating that his political decisions would continue to reflect the interests of constituents in Gboko West and Benue State at large.

This development adds to the ongoing political realignments within Benue State ahead of future electoral contests.
