Forland Motors, a global leader in light commercial truck manufacturing, has finished a three‑day training program conducted with its local assembler and distributor, Transit Support Services Ltd (TSS).

The training was designed to give TSS’s technical staff—both assembly and after‑sales technicians—deep knowledge of Forland’s light trucks, which are assembled and distributed in Nigeria by the local partner.

The curriculum covered assembly, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, aiming to uphold high service standards for both the production and upkeep of Forland light trucks.

Held at the TSS Motors Training Centre on Ikorodu Road in the Anthony area of Lagos, the event hosted Forland instructors who travelled from China, as well as TSS technicians from its Lagos, Enugu, and Abuja networks.

Technical staff from Yuchai, a major engine supplier to Forland trucks and one of China’s largest powertrain manufacturers, also attended.

“The program included general maintenance, engine servicing, and preventive programmes,” said Mrs. Phebian Iwalokun, Head of After‑Sales Services at TSS. “It was designed to ensure our technicians are fully prepared to support the growing presence of Forland vehicles in Nigeria.”

She added that skill enhancement was essential as TSS readies for a planned expansion of production amid rising demand for Forland trucks.

“Forland trucks are currently gaining ground in Nigeria, with over 1,000 units in use mainly for fast‑moving consumer goods, logistics companies, and many last‑mile distributors,” Iwalokun said.

Transit Support Services, a subsidiary of ABC Transport Plc, assembles Forland trucks at its Enugu plant and has supported numerous Forland users nationwide.

Forland remains a highly successful commercial vehicle and light‑truck brand, performing well in many regions around the world.
