Finidi Praises Rivers United After Victory Over Rangers in President’s Federation Cup

Rivers United Technical Adviser Finidi George said he was pleased with his side’s 3‑2 win over Rangers in the President Federation Cup.

Chijioke Mbaoma, Wisdom Samuel and Handsome Surveyor each found the net for Rivers United.

Rangers’ goals came from Godwin Obaje and Precious Agu.

Finidi added that the team will now turn its attention to the next stage of the tournament.

“We started the game well, and we are happy with the victory,” Finidi told the club’s media team. “The boys did well, and Rangers scored two goals. It was a little bit scrappy towards the end, but we got the winning goal.”

“We are happy with the performance. Next is the Round of 16, and we will keep pushing to see where it ends.”

Rivers United will meet Nasarawa United in the Round of 16.
