Shakira, Madonna, and BTS will perform at the first‑ever halftime show of the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium, but they will not receive payment for the appearance, according to FIFA.

The artists are donating their performances to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which is working to raise $100 million for children’s education worldwide.

This marks the first time a musical act of this scale will be featured at a World Cup final, which will be held in New Jersey.

The decision reflects a growing trend of using major sporting events to advance social causes; the fund has already raised more than $30 million, in part from a $1 contribution from each ticket sale.

FIFA has not yet confirmed the exact length of the interval, but the combined performances by Madonna, BTS and Shakira are expected to last approximately 11 minutes.
