Billionaire entrepreneur Femi Otedola has finished the executive leadership programme “Leading Businesses for the Future” at London Business School.

Otedola shared the achievement on his official social media accounts, saying the experience reinforced that humility is essential for lifelong learning.

He added, “no knowledge is wasted,” and reaffirmed his commitment to becoming the best leader he can be.

This new credential adds to Otedola’s list of accomplishments. He is well known for founding successful companies in several industries and has repeatedly said that he reached early success without a formal university degree.

The 63‑year‑old, whose net worth is estimated by Forbes at more than $1.5 billion, explained in his 2025 memoir, Making It Big, that he did not finish a university degree.

In the book he revealed that he struggled academically and left school during his Advanced Levels (Lower Sixth) to pursue business opportunities.

Otedola began his education at the University of Lagos Staff School in 1968 and finished there in 1974 after repeating a year. He later attended Methodist Boys’ High School before moving to Olivet Baptist High School because of ongoing academic difficulties.

Despite not holding a university degree, Otedola built a business empire that includes oil and gas, finance, and power sectors. He also serves as Chancellor of Augustine University.
