Nigeria and Millwall winger Femi Azeez is ready for Premier League football after impressing in the EFL Championship last season, Afrik-Foot reports.
The 25-year-old Super Eagles star is attracting serious interest from clubs in the top flights, including Aston Villa, Ipswich Town, Brighton and Bournemouth.
Azeez wants to test himself in the Premier League after enjoying the best campaign of his career. His impressive performances for both club and country have sparked a transfer battle, with Millwall demanding around £30 million for their star winger.
Ipswich Town have already seen an opening £20 million bid rejected, while Brighton, Aston Villa and Bournemouth continue to monitor the situation as the summer transfer window gathers pace.

Aston Villa: Biggest name but the poorest fit
A move to Aston Villa would give Azeez the chance to work under Unai Emery and compete in European football. It would also allow him to join one of the Premier League’s strongest squads.
However, Villa’s attacking options are already packed with quality players. Breaking into the starting XI would be difficult, and Azeez could spend long periods on the bench.
At 25, the Nigerian needs regular football after breaking into the Super Eagles. Limited minutes could slow his development and even affect his chances of keeping his place in the national team.
Villa, therefore, rank as the least suitable destination despite the club’s growing reputation.

Ipswich Town have shown the strongest interest so far. Their rejected £20 million bid proves they see Azeez as an important part of their plans and are expected to return with an improved offer closer to Millwall’s asking price.
If he joins Ipswich, Azeez would likely become a regular starter from the beginning. That would help him continue developing while building confidence in the Premier League.
The concern is the club’s likely battle near the bottom of the table. Teams fighting relegation often spend long periods defending, reducing opportunities for attacking players to score and create goals.
While regular football is a major advantage, the style of matches Ipswich could face may not allow Azeez to fully display the qualities that earned him international recognition.

Bournemouth offer a more balanced option. The club likes quick, direct wingers who can attack space during fast counter-attacks. That style matches Azeez’s pace, dribbling ability and willingness to take on defenders.
Unlike Aston Villa, Bournemouth can offer a clearer route into the starting team, while also playing positive attacking football.
Although they do not have the European profile of Villa or Brighton’s famous player development system, Bournemouth would still provide an environment where Azeez could settle into Premier League football and continue improving.
Brighton: The perfect destination
Among all the interested clubs, Brighton appear to be the best fit. The club has built a reputation for signing talented players from lower divisions and helping them become Premier League stars. Their patient approach to player development would suit Azeez perfectly as he makes the step up from the Championship.

These are the same strengths Azeez displayed throughout last season.
The Seagulls also rotate their attacking players regularly, increasing his chances of earning consistent minutes instead of waiting for opportunities from the bench.
Azeez finished the Championship season with 11 goals and eight assists in 34 league matches, earning a place in the Sky Bet Championship Team of the Season. He also made an instant impact for Nigeria by scoring both goals on his Super Eagles debut in a 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe in May 2026.
Those performances suggest he is ready for the Premier League, and Brighton’s system appears best equipped to help him reach the next level.
