Federal High Court Announces the Death of a Judge from the Kano Division

The Federal High Court (FHC) announced on Saturday that Justice Mohammed Yunusa, a sitting judge in the Kano judicial division, has died.

Mrs Catherine‑Oby Christopher, the Director of Information of the FHC, issued the statement in Abuja.

Justice Yunusa passed away on Thursday after a brief illness at the Kano State Medical Centre.

The statement said he has been laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites.

“Justice M. N. Yunusa was a distinguished jurist who served with dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the administration of justice.”

The FHC added that the judge’s extensive contributions to the Bench and the legal profession would be fondly remembered.

It also noted that his legacy would be cherished by colleagues, members of the outer Bar, court staff, and all who had the privilege of working with him.

“The Chief Judge, judges, management, and staff of the Federal High Court extend their heartfelt condolences to his immediate family. We pray that Almighty God grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus,” the statement concluded.
