The Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Prof. Tunji Olaopa, has confirmed that a computer‑based test (CBT) will soon be held for candidates who have been shortlisted for recruitment.

Olaopa issued the statement himself over the weekend to address online rumors that the CBT had been abandoned because recruitment was already complete.

He dismissed the comments as unfounded, explaining that arrangements are in place for the CBT to take place. The remaining requirement, he said, is the provision of adequate resources to support the process. Once those resources are secured, the CBT will be scheduled.

Olaopa also clarified that the Commission had only conducted interviews for applicants with qualifications in science, technical and vocational subjects, mathematics, and engineering, following a request from the Federal Ministry of Education for teachers in those fields for Federal Unity Schools.

He emphasized that this interview exercise has not affected the planned CBT and urged shortlisted candidates to stay calm and await official communication from the Commission regarding the recruitment.
