Former Ekiti governor Ayodele Fayose and former presidential political adviser Babafemi Ojudu endorsed Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s bid for a second term on Wednesday, describing him as a performer and builder who merits another term in office.

The endorsement was made during the final stop of Oyebanji’s campaign tour at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion in Ado Ekiti, just before the June 20 governorship election. Fayose, speaking for former state governors, noted that Oyebanji had distinguished himself through effective governance, inclusive leadership, and development projects.

“I am not a member of APC, everybody knows my party, but what is good has no other name. Governor Oyebanji has performed creditably well and deserves to remain in office till 2030,” Fayose said, adding that former governors in the state were united in supporting the governor’s second‑term ambition.

Ojudu also urged the APC to secure a landslide win for the governor, calling him accessible, humble, and devoted to the people’s welfare. Senate Leader and Campaign Council Chairman Opeyemi Bamidele called on party supporters to intensify mobilisation across the state.

Bamidele highlighted Oyebanji’s achievements in infrastructure, human‑capital development, and fostering political unity, saying they had bolstered public confidence in the administration and that the APC was likely to win a large share of the votes.

Oyebanji thanked party leaders and residents for their overwhelming support, noting that the peaceful campaigns in all local governments reflected the state’s political maturity. He reiterated his pledge to keep delivering impactful projects and to deepen grassroots engagement before the election.

APC State Chairman Sola Elesin expressed confidence that the party would win a large number of votes in the Ado Ekiti Local Government Area, adding that the governor’s performance had markedly increased the party’s acceptance statewide.
