The father of 16‑year‑old UTME candidate Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin has spoken after the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) announced his daughter as the top scorer in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
JAMB made the announcement at its 2026 Policy Meeting on Admission to Tertiary Institutions in Abuja on Monday, May 11.
Daniella, who intends to study Medicine and Surgery at the University of Lagos, achieved an aggregate score of 372 in the examination.
The breakdown of her result shows 98 in English Language, 98 in Chemistry, 94 in Physics and 82 in Biology.
Father Celebrates Daughter’s Achievement
In a Facebook post, Daniella’s father, Owoeye Kehinde Joshua, congratulated his daughter for bringing pride to the family and to Ekiti State.
The father also prayed for continued success in her academic journey.
He wrote: “Congratulations to my darling daughter Daniella Jesudunsin Owoeye, the overall highest scorer in UTME 2026/27 in Nigeria. Congratulations to the entire Owoeye/Ibidunni dynasty, congratulations to Erinmope Ekiti, congratulations to the whole Ekiti State indigenes home and abroad. Your daughter has made you proud. More wins for her in Jesus name, amen.”
