Olubunmi Kuku, the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), officially opened the 2026 FAAN Management Retreat, titled “Consolidating Gains and Institutionalizing Sustainable Growth,” on 5 June 2026.
The three‑day retreat will convene FAAN’s senior management team to assess the Authority’s transformation progress, reinforce institutional capacity, and align strategic priorities with emerging global aviation trends and industry best practices.
On the first day, participants discussed how to position FAAN for the future through sustained reforms. Topics included global and African airport development trends, the standardization of processes and performance management across Nigeria’s airports, and the modernization of infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency.
Henry Agbebire, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, said the session also allowed a comprehensive review of progress under the MD/CE’s transformative pillars, emphasizing the embedding of sustainable growth, operational excellence, innovation, and long‑term value creation across the Authority’s airports.
