EPL: Arsenal announce transfer deal for Hein

Arsenal announced on Saturday that goalkeeper Karl Hein will join Bundesliga club Werder Bremen on a permanent basis in July.

The club released the news in a statement before its final Premier League match against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Hein signed for Arsenal in June 2018, moving from his hometown club, Nomme United.

The 24‑year‑old agreed his first professional contract with the Premier League champions the following year.

During the 2025/26 season, Hein was loaned to Werder Bremen, where he made two Bundesliga appearances.

“We thank Karl for his contribution to the club during his time with us and wish him all the best for his next chapter with Werder Bremen,” the statement read.
