Former England internationals, Gabby Agbonlahor and Darren Bent, have handed manager, Thomas Tuchel the names of players to feature in the Three Lions’ attacking line against Argentina in the World Cup semi-final fixture on Wednesday.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor urged Tuchel to start Marcus Rashford ahead of Noni Madueke on the right-hand side of England’s attack and bring on Bukayo Saka in the second half.
“I wouldn’t mind seeing Rashford on that side. I just think sometimes, you look at the Argentinian full-backs – they are there for the taking.
“Rashford didn’t get on last game. Why can’t you play Rashford off that right-hand side?
“And then you bring him off maybe for Saka on 60 minutes, if Saka can’t start games. But I think Madueke has played himself out of a starting spot,” he said.
On his part, Bent also urged Tuchel to play Rashford on the right-hand side and also play Anthony Gordon on the left-hand side of the attack.
Bent added, “I don’t think Noni Madueke plays, but he might even gamble and try Rashford out there. He could play there and keep Anthony Gordon on the left.”
