England right‑winger Femi Azeez, who is eligible to play for Nigeria, has attracted attention for a possible move to the Premier League, according to Manchester United’s record scorer Wayne Rooney, as reported by Afriq Foot.
Azeez was born in the United Kingdom to a Nigerian father and a Spanish mother. His younger brother, Miguel, is a professional footballer for Morecambe after starting his career at Arsenal’s Hale End Academy.
The 24‑year‑old finished the Championship season with 11 goals and seven assists for Millwall. Despite his contributions, the club could not secure promotion and were eliminated by Hull City in the play‑off semi‑finals.

While Millwall’s promotion hopes have been put on hold until next season, Azeez’s prospects for a top‑flight transfer remain strong.
Speaking on the Overlap, Rooney said he has been impressed with the winger’s pace and believes he would fit well in the Premier League.
“I think Femi Azeez is one of those players who can step up,” the 40‑year‑old said. “He’s a player I’ve watched, and I really like him. He’s an intelligent football player, and I think to go and play in the Premier League, you need that intelligence to be able to find space to take the ball and be a match‑winner.”

According to Aston Villa News, the club is waiting for an official decision on the Championship Team of the Year winger before moving on from Leon Bailey.
Former Villa and Millwall scout Bryan King also believes Azeez possesses Premier League quality, though he expects the winger’s former club to demand a high fee.
“I would expect plenty of clubs to come in for him and even bid £30m, and that wouldn’t be a silly figure,” the 79‑year‑old said. “He’s a talented player, and he’s the sort of player that Aston Villa need. He’s got a trick, and after his performances this season, he’s certainly put himself in the frame for a move. Signing for Villa would be a great move for him and would be a great payday for Millwall.”
