Ndudi Elumelu, who previously served as Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, has been selected as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections.

At the collation centre in Oshimili South Local Government Area, Returning Officer Barr. Val Arenyeka announced that Elumelu received the most votes, securing the APC nomination.

In a brief interview with journalists, Elumelu thanked God and the party supporters for their confidence, calling the win a collective mandate for the residents of Aniocha/Oshimili.

Elumelu praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that it has strengthened the APC nationwide and facilitated peaceful party congresses.

He also thanked Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, whose effective implementation of the MORE Agenda has repositioned the state and bolstered the party’s presence in Delta State.

“Let me earnestly register my profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his excellent leadership under the Renewed Hope Agenda, which, in repositioning our nation, has brought massive support to our great party, the APC, and led to the peaceful and successful conduct of our congresses across the nation. I sincerely thank our dear Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, whose sterling execution of the MORE Agenda has repositioned our state and strengthened support for our party in Delta State. I also thank our leader, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, as well as the National Working Committee, NWC, and the Delta State Working Committee for effectively steering the ship of our party at this critical time. My heartfelt appreciation also goes to members of the Ndudi Elumelu Campaign Council, particularly my Director General, Dr. Darlington Ijeh, for their commitment towards the success of this project.”

Elumelu pledged to bring additional development projects, jobs, and empowerment programmes to the constituency and to restore Aniocha/Oshimili’s prominence in the National Assembly.

He urged unity within the APC, encouraging other aspirants and disgruntled members to practice sportsmanship and collaborate for the party’s success in the upcoming elections.

Elumelu said the victory reflects a collective commitment to the constituency’s progress and development.
