The former Chairman of Agege Local Government Area in Lagos State, Ganiyu Egunjobi, has been declared the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly primary for Agege constituency 01.
Egunjobi secured the seat in the primary held on Wednesday, which was conducted ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to DAILY POST, Barrister Azeez Ninalowo also won the APC House of Assembly primary for Agege constituency 02.
Our correspondent reports that the pair had previously been selected as the party’s consensus candidates during a meeting chaired by Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, held last Tuesday.
The winners were announced following the Wednesday exercise.
The primaries were conducted in the presence of police officers and other security personnel.
Both candidates described their victories as a positive development for the party.
They urged all aspirants and supporters to unite and focused their efforts on securing a win for the party in the upcoming elections.
