The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has identified a suspect who allegedly pretended to be an agency officer.
In a video released by the Commission, the suspect—Haruna Mamuda, a former military member who was dismissed—was shown posing as an EFCC operative.
The footage also depicts Mamuda with his driver, Salifu Olije Mustapha, during alleged operations in which they harassed unsuspecting youths while claiming to be EFCC officials.
Daily Post reports that this development follows three days after the EFCC brought the driver, Mustapha, before Justice A.I. Akobi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Kubwa, Abuja. He was charged with impersonation and misrepresentation.
Mustapha faces a four‑count charge related to the alleged impersonation.
