Operatives of the Edo State Security Corps, ESSC, have arrested more than ten suspects connected with various criminal activities in the state.

The Daily Post reports that the arrests took place last weekend.

Richard Balogun, the Deputy Commander in charge of operations, told reporters in Benin City that the suspects were charged with theft, armed robbery and fraud.

He said the arrests followed intelligence reports and that the suspects confessed to their involvement.

He added that the suspects have been handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.

He emphasized that the security corps maintains a zero‑tolerance policy toward criminal activity.
