Edo Queens were crowned champions of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) for the 2025/26 season, according to the DAILY POST.
The team secured the title after a 0‑0 draw with Bayelsa Queens in the final match of the NWFL playoffs, held in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
The Benin City club finished at the top of the standings with 10 points from five games.
This is the second NWFL championship for Edo Queens.
Bayelsa Queens finished second with eight points.
Nasarawa Amazons missed out on the title after a 0‑0 draw with Rivers Angels.
