Done Deal: Orban Joins Turkish Club On Loan

Nigeria striker Gift Orban has joined Turkish Süper Lig club Amedspor on loan, Completesports.com reports.

The 22-year-old striker spent last season on loan at Italian club Hellas Verona, where he recorded seven goals and two assists in 28 appearances.

Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim announced the agreement with Amedspor on their official website.

“The loan agreement now concluded with the club Amed SFK from the city of Diyarbakir includes a subsequent purchase option, which can become an obligation to purchase under certain conditions,” the club wrote.

Sporting director Paul Pajduch commented on Orban’s move to Turkey.

“After his good scoring rate at Hellas Verona, we received several inquiries for him. Together we decided to transfer to Amed SFK, where he can demonstrate his qualities in an intensive league“, Pajduch said.

Orban, who moved from French club Olympic Lyon to Hoffenheim in January 2025, scored four times in 13 Bundesliga games for the club.
