Bulgarian First League club Botev Plovdiv have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Chidera Michael Okoh from Greek side Asteras Aktor ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The Yellow and Blacks confirmed the transfer on their official website, with the 23-year-old becoming the club’s latest addition as they continue preparations for the new campaign.
Okoh joins Botev after a two-year spell with Asteras Aktor, where he featured for both the senior team and the reserves.
The powerful striker is Botev Plovdiv’s seventh signing of the summer transfer window. Before his arrival, the club recruited Asen Chandarov, Georgi Milanov, Dimitar Tonev, Todor Nedelev, Bogdan Kostov and Timothy Awany, with all six joining as free agents.

Botev Plovdiv revealed that he will wear the No. 9 jersey during the 2026/27 campaign.
Okoh will also find familiar faces in the dressing room, with fellow Nigerians Samuel Kalu, Chimezie Williams, Ifenna Dorgu and Bryan Hein already on the club’s books.
The striker began his career with Nigerian outfit Divine Praise before moving to Europe, where he had spells with Czech club Slovan Liberec and Maltese side Mosta. He joined Asteras Aktor in August 2024 before earning his latest move to Bulgaria.
Botev Plovdiv will be hoping Okoh settles quickly and makes an immediate impact as they look to strengthen their attack and challenge strongly in the Bulgarian First League this season.
