Done Deal: AIK sign Nigerian Youngster On Four-Year Contract

Swedish Allsvenskan club AIK have completed the signing of highly-rated Nigerian midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla from Beyond Limits FA.

The 18-year-old has put pen to paper on a lcontract that will keep him at the Stockholm-based club until 31 December 2030.

“AIK Football agrees with 18-year-old midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla and his Nigerian club Beyond Limits FA on an agreement that runs until 31 December 2030,” reads a statement on the club’s official website.

“The agreement is a so-called transfer player agreement, which means that it is written as an A-team contract but where the player will initially belong to the club’s academy team.”

Agbenla Tipped To Shine For AIK

AIK Football recruitment manager Miika Takkula says he is thrilled to have Agbenla on board, believing the Nigerian midfielder will be a valuable addition to the club.

“Oreoluwa is a versatile “box-to-box” type midfielder with good understanding of the game. He plays maturely, balancing offensive and defensive efforts, while also being adept at finishing inside the opponent’s penalty area,” Takkula stated.

“He is a player who likes to combo and create chances for his teammates. He is also very safe with the ball. AIK has scouted him since the beginning of 2025 and also saw him in the Gothia Cup when his club visited the tournament.”
