The Naira gained value against the dollar in the official foreign exchange market following the Eid‑ul‑Adha holidays.

The Central Bank of Nigeria reported that the Naira strengthened on Friday to N1,373.25 from N1,375.41 on Tuesday.

This represents a gain of N2.16 per dollar on Friday compared with the pre‑holiday close.

Meanwhile, the black‑market rate remained unchanged at N1,395 per dollar on Friday.

These mixed movements come as the country’s external reserves were $49.34 billion as of Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
