Dollar to Naira Exchange Rate Today, June 24, 2026: Nigerian currency records highest depreciation in two weeks

The naira continued its downward trend, recording its steepest decline against the dollar in the official foreign exchange market.

According to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the naira weakened to N1,380.08 per dollar on Wednesday, up from N1,370.64 on Tuesday.

This represents a daily loss of N9.44 for the naira against the dollar in the official market.

At the black market, the naira held steady at N1,400 per dollar, the same rate reported by several bureaux de change to DAILY POST on Wednesday.

The move comes as the country’s external reserves increased to $51.17 billion as of June 23, 2026.

Recall that the naira had fallen against the dollar in the official market on Tuesday.
