Dollar-to-Naira exchange rate on June 16, 2026: Nigerian currency depreciates.

The Naira weakened against the dollar on the official foreign exchange market on Tuesday.

According to the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Naira traded at N1,357.18 per dollar on Tuesday, compared with N1,356.27 on Monday.

Thus, the Naira fell by N0.90 to the dollar from the previous day.

On the parallel market, the Naira remained unchanged at N1,395 per dollar on Tuesday, the same rate as on Monday.

These mixed movements come as the country’s external reserves were reported at $50.81 billion as of June 15, 2026.

Earlier in the week, the Naira had appreciated against the dollar on the official market on Monday, giving the currency a positive start to the week.
