Desmond Elliot shares footage of crowded supporters denied access to accreditation [VIDEO]

Lawmaker Desmond Elliot, who represents Surulere I in the Lagos State House of Assembly, posted video evidence showing his supporters being denied accreditation during the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election held on Wednesday.

The Daily Post reports that Elliot, an actor who has entered politics, had withdrawn from the race, claiming that his supporters were being intimidated.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Elliot said: “There were clear cases of intimidation across different polling units, and my supporters were denied access to accreditation — let alone voting.”

He added that what transpired during the APC primary election “is not democracy.”

In the video, Elliot’s supporters can be heard shouting: “All we want is Desmond, give us Desmond.”
