The MRS filling station, which is backed by Dangote Refinery, has lowered the price of its premium motor spirit (PMS).

A market survey conducted by DAILY POST on Friday revealed that the petrol outlet has adjusted its pump price to N1,241 per litre in Abuja and surrounding areas, down from N1,317.

This adjustment represents a reduction of N76 per litre, or 5.77 percent.

The change follows Dangote Refinery’s own price cut of N75 per litre three days earlier, prompted by a decline in crude oil prices below $80 per barrel.

In contrast, other filling stations in the capital—including those operated by Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Ranoil, AA Rano, and Empire Energy—have not reduced their pump prices despite the fall in crude oil costs and Dangote Refinery’s price cut.

DAILY POST previously reported that many Nigerians are upset over the inability of several petroleum marketers to lower fuel prices.
