Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court sentenced former Minister of Power Saleh Mamman to a total of 75 years’ imprisonment on Wednesday, finding him guilty of corruption tied to the Mambilla and Zungeru hydroelectric power projects.

The judge convicted Mamman on twelve separate counts and ordered that the sentences run consecutively, resulting in the cumulative term of 75 years.

Justice Omotosho stipulated that the imprisonment would commence from the day Mamman is taken into custody.

The court directed all security agencies to locate and arrest Mamman wherever he may be.

In addition, the court ordered that any money and assets recovered from the former minister be forfeited to the Federal Government, and instructed him to repay the outstanding balance of the alleged N22 billion linked to the Mambilla and Zungeru projects.
