A fresh controversy has erupted over the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primaries in Nasarawa State after two separate result sheets, both purportedly from the same electoral ward, reported different winners.
The documents, each labeled as results from Ningu/Bihar and Ningu/Eghar Ward in Akwanga Local Government Area, have raised doubts about the credibility and transparency of the exercise.
One of the result sheets lists Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada as the winner with 1,790 votes, while Mohammed Sani Haruna received one vote, Mohammed Adamu Abubakar received none, and both Dr. Fatima Abdullahi and Tanimu Adabsun SP each received one vote.
In contrast, another result sheet from the same ward shows a completely different outcome: Mohammed Adamu Abubakar wins with 1,790 votes. In this version, Aliyu Ahmed Wadada receives one vote, Mohammed Sani Haruna receives none, and Dr. Fatima Abdullahi and Tanimu Adagun SP each receive one vote.
Both documents share the same date, May 21, 2026, and appear to have identical signatures from the ward presiding officer and party agents, deepening concerns about the authenticity of the results.
Observers and party supporters have questioned how two different candidates could emerge victorious from what appears to be the same ward election.
