Comedian Igwe De MC to Thrill UK Audience, Celebrating 20 Years on Stage

After 20 years of electrifying performances, one of Nigeria’s top comedians, Henry Okwudili Ugwoke—known as Igwe De MC—has decided to mark the milestone with a show featuring 20 leading African comedians.

In preparation for the event, the entertainer has arranged an overseas celebration titled “JOKES APART” Comedy Extravaganza, to be held in Southampton, England.

Organisers say the highly anticipated show will be headlined by Igwe De MC to honour “an incredible 20 years on stage.”

“JOKES APART” promises an unforgettable night of premium comedy, music and live entertainment, bringing together some of the finest African performers under one roof,” the organisers added in a statement.

The landmark event will begin at sundown on Friday, July 25 at 6.00 pm at the Novotel Hotel Southampton, England, United Kingdom. In addition to the celebrant, the lineup includes 19 other entertainers such as Seyi Law, Deacon Famous, Twocantok, Sir One on One, Franchez, Lyrics, Warri Bros, Funny Urch and ND Funny.

Other comedians slated to appear are Unku SP, Lafin Gas, Triple U, DJ Oma, DJ Rain, DJ Charles Wizzy, DJ Bullet, DJ Sailent Masta, Pascal Ogbuefi and Yauz (Scotland). Organisers say the audience will enjoy a unique blend of stand‑up comedy, live DJ sets, music and vibrant stage entertainment designed to keep guests entertained throughout the evening.
