Troops from Sector 7 of Operation Enduring Peace, together with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), arrested a suspected kidnapper in Kamuru village, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Media and counter‑insurgency expert Zagazola Makama posted on his social media that a security source reported the suspect was taken into custody around 3:30 a.m. on May 12 during a joint security raid in the community.

The suspect, Husaini Jibrin, 45, is alleged to have been connected to a kidnapping that took place on April 26, 2026, in the Angwan Ali community of the same local government area.

Early investigations suggest that Jibrin may have participated in planning and executing the abduction, a development that has increased tensions among residents of nearby communities.

During the operation, authorities recovered a mobile phone and N10,000 in cash from the suspect.
