Pascal Okechukwu, better known as the Cubana Chief Priest, has reportedly been defeated in the All Progressives Congress primary for the House of Representatives seat that covers the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State.

According to DAILY POST, the nightlife promoter, who also serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boys Movement, had sought to become the constituency’s representative in the House of Representatives.

The result sparked swift reactions on social media, with many users mocking the defeat and suggesting that Okechukwu had underestimated the harsh realities of Nigerian politics.

In response, Ossai Ovie Success, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, questioned the mockery aimed at the celebrity‑turned‑politician.

“Why are people mocking Cubana Chief Priest? Not nice… it’s ok to try and try again.”

“He lost an election and so what? I am disappointed,” Success wrote on his Facebook page.
