Chelsea’s Pedro says he’s rooting for a player to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

Chelsea forward João Pedro has announced the player he believes will win the 2026 Ballon d’Or.

In a recent interview with TNT Sports Brazil, the Brazilian international tipped Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane for the top individual award.

Pedro said he will be supporting the England international because of his outstanding footballing abilities.

"He [Kane] was already posting extraordinary numbers in the Premier League, and now seeing him at Bayern gives a clearer picture of the quality that Harry Kane possesses," Pedro said ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday.

"I have a lot of admiration for him. I played against him when I was at Watford, and he was at Tottenham, and he totally dominated the game."

"I’m always rooting for him because he’s a fantastic player. Can he win the Ballon d’Or? In my opinion, yes, because he’s an extraordinary player."
