Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle extended his unbeaten streak in charge of Nigeria after a dramatic 2‑2 draw with Poland on Wednesday night.
Coming off a successful 2026 Unity Cup campaign in London last weekend, the Super Eagles opened the match brightly and earned an early advantage. Terem Moffi continued his strong form, scoring to give Nigeria a deserved lead and silence the home crowd.
Nigeria seemed poised to maintain their advantage into the break, dominating the first half and controlling the tempo.
However, Poland struck at a critical moment when Potulski capitalised on a defensive lapse to head an equaliser just before halftime.
The second half was tightly contested, with Nigeria gradually asserting control and generating more chances. Their efforts paid off in the 77th minute when a penalty was awarded. Paul Onuachu stepped up and calmly converted, restoring Nigeria’s lead and putting Chelle’s side in a strong position to win.
Yet Poland again decided the outcome. In stoppage time, Wisniewski fired a late goal to level the score at 2‑2, securing a draw for the hosts.
