Champions League: Kvarashkelia Named Player of the Season – Full List of Winners

Paris Saint‑Germain winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been awarded the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign.

UEFA’s Technical Observer Group announced the honour after the Georgian’s exceptional European season, during which he helped PSG successfully defend their Champions League title.

Kvaratskhelia finished the competition with 10 goals and six assists across 16 matches, covering 124.17 kilometres and reaching a top speed of 33.7 km/h.

The 25‑year‑old was pivotal in PSG’s triumph, notably in the final against Arsenal where he earned a penalty that enabled Ousmane Dembélé to equalise after a foul on Cristhian Mosquera.

One of his most memorable displays came in the first‑leg semi‑final against Bayern Munich, where PSG won 5‑4. Kvaratskhelia scored twice, including a curling effort and a powerful second‑half strike.

Previous winners of the award include Ousmane Dembélé (2024/25), Vinícius Júnior (2023/24), Rodri (2022/23) and Karim Benzema (2021/22).

Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler received the newly introduced UEFA Champions League Revelation of the Season award, replacing the former Young Player of the Season honour.

Güler’s rise was evident after a single start and 142 minutes in the previous edition. This season he started 13 matches, appeared in 14 games, and logged 1,030 minutes.

The Turkish international was named Player of the Match in Madrid’s group‑stage win over Juventus, where his creativity and composure in midfield stood out.

He finished the campaign with two goals and four assists, scoring both goals in the quarter‑final second leg against Bayern Munich.

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé also earned individual recognition, finishing as the Champions League’s top scorer with 15 goals.

UEFA announced its Team of the Season, with PSG dominating the selection by including five players in the Best XI.
