Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has not clarified Kelechi Iheanacho’s future at the club, reports the DAILY POST.

Iheanacho signed a one‑year contract with the Hoops last summer after departing Spanish side Sevilla.

The striker had a rough start before eventually earning the support of the club’s fans.

The 29‑year‑old scored a brilliant goal in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park last weekend, as Celtic secured a 3‑0 victory.

Iheanacho finished the season with nine goals in 24 appearances across all competitions for the Bhoys.

Despite his positive contributions late in the campaign, his future remains uncertain.

“Iheanacho keeps asking me, ‘What do you think, are they going to keep me on?’ I have no idea, mate. Don’t ask me, I am not the manager anymore,” O’Neill was quoted by the Scotsman.
