Celtic captain Callum McGregor praised Kelechi Iheanacho after the striker scored the decisive goal in Wednesday night’s important win against Motherwell.
Martin O’Neill’s side came off the bench to convert a penalty in stoppage time, giving the Hoops a 3‑2 victory.
This is the third time the Nigerian international has netted a decisive goal as a substitute for Celtic this season.
The strike was Iheanacho’s eighth for the club across all competitions.
McGregor highlighted the striker’s willingness to take the crucial penalty.
“He’s a big personality, a big player who steps up in the big moments and gets us over the line. Now it’s in our own hands,” McGregor said on Celtic TV.
