Philip Agbese, an opposition member of the House of Representatives, criticized recent demands by the House Minority Caucus that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu resign over Nigeria’s security issues, calling the requests politically driven and counterproductive to addressing insecurity.
Representing the Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency of Benue State, Agbese said that confronting insecurity demands collective national responsibility and enhanced cooperation with security agencies, rather than what he called “mere opposition rhetoric.”
