Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt have submitted an official bid to Club Brugge for Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika, Completesports.com reports.

Onyedika has entered the final year of his contract with the Belgian Pro League champions, and is understood to have declined the club’s offer of a contract extension, fuelling speculation over a summer departure.

The Super Eagles star has attracted strong interest in recent months, with Turkish champions Galatasaray and a number of Premier League clubs also monitoring his situation.

However, Eintracht Frankfurt have now stepped up their pursuit by tabling a formal offer for the 25-year-old as they look to strengthen their midfield ahead of the new campaign.
