Bruno Fernandes Awarded Premier League Player of the Season

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been awarded the Premier League Player of the Season.

Fernandes scored eight goals and matched the record for most assists in a single campaign, sharing the 20‑assist mark with Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.

The 31‑year‑old receives the honor for the first time in his career and becomes the first United player since Nemanja Matic in 2010/11 to earn the award.

He is the seventh United player to win the accolade, joining Peter Schmeichel, Dwight Yorke, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney.

Fernandes had already secured the FWA Footballer of the Year award, adding another distinction to a historic season after helping United qualify for the Champions League.
