Brent crude falls below $75 for first time since Middle East war

Nigeria lost an estimated $839.22m in oil revenue in the first four months of 2026 after failing to meet its 1.5m barrels per day OPEC quota

The price of Brent North Sea crude, the international benchmark, fell further on Wednesday, trading below $75 a barrel for the first time since the start of the Middle East war.

Brent slid 3.1 percent to $74.73, extending its decline since the United States and Iran last week reached an agreement to end the conflict that began on February 28.
