Blessing CEO says Alex Ekubo died of stage‑4 cancer.

Self‑described relationship expert Blessing CEO has issued a response to the death of actor Alex Ekubo.

According to DAILY POST, the actor passed away in a Lagos hospital on Monday after a battle with stage 4 liver cancer.

Commenting on the cause of Ekubo’s death, Blessing CEO—appearing to reference her own earlier claim of stage 4 cancer—posted: “God will punish cancer.”

She shared a photograph of Ekubo on Instagram with the caption: “God will punish cancer. We waited for u to show up. You fought silently. Rest in peace.”

DAILY POST notes that in March 2026 Blessing CEO publicly appealed for financial assistance to fund what she described as chemotherapy for stage 4 breast cancer.

After she circulated a medical report to substantiate her claim, the Delta State chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) alleged that she had altered a report belonging to another patient from Xinus Medical Diagnostics, which was signed by consultant pathologist Dr. O.A. Odigwe.

Subsequent to the controversy, social‑media influencer VeryDarkMan filed a petition—approved by the Inspector‑General of Police (IGP)—seeking an official investigation into Blessing CEO.
