Turkish Super Lig club Beşiktaş have reportedly turned down a €7 million offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Diriyah for Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi, according to Turkish newspaper Milliyet.

The Black Eagles are said to value the experienced midfielder at €10 million, and are unwilling to sanction his departure unless their asking price is met.

Ndidi has been strongly linked with a move away from Beşiktaş in recent weeks, with clubs from Saudi Arabia and Europe monitoring his situation ahead of the new season.

The 29-year-old joined the Istanbul giants from English club Leicester City last summer and quickly established himself as a key figure in the heart of midfield.

Despite battling injuries during the campaign, the former Genk star contributed two goals and one assist in 31 appearances across all competitions, while also impressing with his ball-winning ability, composure in possession and leadership qualities.

The 29-year-old has two years remaining on his current contract with Beşiktaş, placing the Turkish club in a strong negotiating position.
