Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi is facing an uncertain future at Turkish giants Beşiktaş ahead of the new season, with fresh interest in the midfielder continuing to grow, Afrik-Foot reports.

Ndidi joined Beşiktaş last summer after leaving Leicester City following the Foxes’ relegation from the Premier League. The Nigerian international quickly established himself as one of the club’s standout performers during his debut campaign.

The 29-year-old made 31 appearances across all competitions and also became one of the team’s senior figures, wearing the captain’s armband on several occasions.

However, the departure of head coach Sergen Yalçın and the arrival of Vincenzo Italiano have further fuelled speculation over Ndidi’s future at the club.

Beşiktaş receive fresh offer for Wilfred Ndidi

Ndidi has attracted interest from several clubs this summer. Saudi Arabian sides remain keen on signing him, while Premier League giants Manchester United have also been linked with the Super Eagles captain as they continue to assess midfield options.

According to reports, Beşiktaş have now received a third offer for the Nigerian midfielder and are currently weighing up their next move.

“Beşiktaş received an important offer for Wilfred Ndidi on Tuesday, and it’s still being considered”, Buchi Laba revealed on X.

“It is the third offer they have received for the Nigerian.”

Key condition for Beşiktaş to sell Super Eagles captain

Speculation over Ndidi’s future has intensified in recent weeks as interest in the midfielder continues to increase.

Manchester United have revived their interest after previously monitoring him last summer. The Premier League side are looking to strengthen their midfield following the departure of Brazilian veteran Casemiro at the end of his contract.

Saudi Arabian clubs are also pushing to secure the services of the experienced midfielder. Despite the growing interest, Beşiktaş are not actively looking to sell Ndidi.

The midfielder is also understood to be happy at the club and is not pushing for an exit and the Turkish side will only sanction a transfer if a suitable offer arrives.

“As of now, Beşiktaş will only sell if the money is good and the player is very happy at the club. He is not pushing to leave, but anything can happen,” he added.

Beşiktaş value Ndidi at around €10 million, slightly more than the €8 million they paid to sign him from Leicester City last summer.

Although losing the Nigerian would be a major blow given his leadership qualities and experience, a sale could provide funds for the club to strengthen the squad as they prepare for a major rebuild under Italiano.

If an agreement is eventually reached, Ndidi would be set for the next chapter of his career, with Saudi Arabia currently emerging as the most likely destination.
