Benue Governor Alia Names Agbo Omikpa as Special Adviser

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has confirmed the appointment of Mathias Agbo Omikpa as Special Adviser on Rural Development and Community Mobilisation.

The decision, announced by the governor’s spokesperson Tersoo Kula, reflects Alia’s ongoing effort to strengthen grassroots governance.

Omikpa previously served as Executive Director of OMIX Group in Ugbokolo from 2012 until his appointment, where he managed operations, agricultural and enterprise activities, staff supervision, and business development.

Kula said the governor expressed confidence that Omikpa’s extensive experience and commitment to public service will significantly enhance rural development initiatives and community mobilisation across Benue State.

The statement added that Omikpa “brings a strong background in administration, political coordination, and enterprise management.”
