Christy Ucheibe, midfielder for Nigeria’s Super Falcons, has left Portuguese champions Benfica following the expiration of her contract, reports Completesports.com.
She spent six years with the club, having joined from Swedish side Assi IF in 2020.
The 25‑year‑old made 179 appearances across all competitions for Benfica, scoring 11 goals during her spell at the club.
The versatile midfielder enjoyed a glittering career in Lisbon, winning six Liga BPI titles, two Portuguese Cups, five League Cups, and two Super Cups.

She now looks to the next phase of her career after concluding her tenure with Benfica.
Ucheibe To Focus On WAFCON 2026
The former Nasarawa Amazons midfielder will now focus on the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, scheduled to start next month, before deciding on her next move.
The 25‑year‑old is expected to be included in Nigeria’s squad for the biennial tournament.
The Super Falcons have been drawn in Group C alongside debutants Malawi, Zambia, and Egypt.
