Bendoriks Secures $7.5 Million Deal to Supply 100,000 Water Meters for the C’River Project

Bendoriks International Limited has entered into a $7.5 million contract with CRS Water Concession SPV Limited to supply ultrasonic prepaid water meters for 100,000 households as part of the Cross River State water infrastructure rehabilitation, upgrade, and management programme.

The deal is part of a public‑private partnership aimed at restoring reliable access to potable water, while improving distribution efficiency and revenue collection.

After the signing ceremony, Bendoriks Managing Director Ben Ikiseh said the company would begin by installing 100,000 meters and would be ready to meet any additional demand as the project expands.

He added that the initiative would address long‑standing supply shortages and revenue inefficiencies through modern metering technology.

“It is a privilege to be part of this historic project, one that will positively impact the lives of the people of Cross River State,” Ikiseh said. “Our company will deploy 100,000 meters in the first phase, and subsequent requests will be met without delay because we have made adequate preparations for this important project.”

“Bendoriks International has built a strong reputation in this sector, and we will deploy our expertise to ensure the successful delivery of clean and safe water to residents,” he added.

Ikiseh also noted that the technical team was fully prepared to begin installation once all arrangements were finalized.

He praised Core Trust and Investment Limited for driving what he described as a transformative initiative that will significantly improve potable water access across the state.

Group Managing Director of Core Trust and Investment Limited Ayo Taire expressed gratitude to Bendoriks for its confidence in the project and commitment to implementation. Taire assured stakeholders that the necessary infrastructure would be established, and highlighted the potential for the initiative to become a benchmark for water‑sector reforms and a model for other states.

Managing Director Adolphus Aletor also thanked all stakeholders, stressing that the goal is to make Cross River State a model of people‑centred governance where every resident has reliable access to potable water. He commended Bendoriks for believing in the initiative and urged the company to leverage its experience deploying nearly one million meters across Nigeria to ensure success.

The metering project is expected to increase transparency in billing, reduce losses, boost revenue for infrastructure, and support the state’s broader effort to provide sustainable, efficient water services through private‑sector participation.
